Quality Control Receipt Inspector – Nuclear

About the role

Black & McDonald’s Power Generation team is seeking a Quality Control Receipt Inspector for its nuclear projects in Pickering. Reporting to the Quality Assurance Director, you will ensure that all received items and accompanying documentation meet purchase order, code, and licensing requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily receipt inspections at warehouse and site locations following the PGR Quality Assurance Program.
• Verify items and documentation against purchase order specifications, applicable codes, standards, and license commitments.
• Apply the Counterfeit, Fraudulent or Suspect Items (CFSI) procedure during inspections.
• Collaborate with project management, procurement, warehouse, field, supplier and client personnel.
• Monitor special processes at subcontractor sites as required.
• Assist QA staff with the Measuring and Test Equipment (MTE) program.
• Identify and control non‑conforming items per company procedures.
• Ensure compliance with B&M and client FME programs and interface with regulatory authorities when needed.
• Support implementation of the Quality Management System and prepare for regulatory audits.
• Participate in and maintain all required company training programs.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of college or university education in a technical discipline or related experience.
• At least ten years of construction trades experience or five years of receipt inspection experience.
• Demonstrated attention to detail, problem‑solving ability, and teamwork orientation.
• Understanding of material codes, standards, and general material properties.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
