Purchasing Agent – Procurement Specialist

About the role

Merit Decorating Centre Ltd. is looking for an experienced Purchasing Agent to manage the acquisition of equipment, materials and services. You will develop specifications, negotiate with suppliers and ensure timely delivery to support our operations.

Key responsibilities

• Purchase general and specialized equipment, materials, and business services.
• Assess establishment requirements and develop detailed specifications.
• Negotiate offers and consult with suppliers.
• Review quotations and award contracts to appropriate parties.
• Establish and monitor delivery schedules.
• Resolve issues by contacting clients and suppliers.
• Plan, organize and oversee operational logistics.
• Provide customer service throughout the procurement process.

Required profile

• Other trades certificate or diploma, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of purchasing or procurement experience.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment.
• Strong attention to detail, client focus and excellent oral and written communication.
• Organized, flexible, team‑player with the ability to multitask.
