About the role
We are seeking a Purchasing Agent to manage the acquisition of general and specialized equipment, materials, and business services for our operations.
Key responsibilities
- Purchase general and specialized equipment, materials, or services.
- Assess requirements and develop specifications for purchases.
- Negotiate offers and consult with suppliers.
- Hire, train, and supervise a team of 5‑10 staff members.
- Review quotations, determine contract terms, and award contracts.
- Establish and monitor delivery schedules.
- Resolve issues with clients and suppliers.
- Plan, organize, and oversee operational logistics.
- Provide customer service and conduct internal audits.
Required profile
- Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage tight deadlines.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Organized, team‑player with strong time‑management abilities.
- Flexibility and capacity to multitask with a large caseload.
