Pump Tester – Afternoon Shift

About the role

Join Armstrong Fluid Technology’s manufacturing team in Scarborough, Ontario, as a Pump Tester on the afternoon shift (3:30 pm – 12:00 am). You will be responsible for testing commercial pump products following established procedures, ensuring quality and performance standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and unload pumps on the test stand, including electrical connections and instrumentation.
• Run pump tests using the test computer terminal according to documented procedures.
• Assess test results, report any issues to Quality Assurance, and ensure results are saved in the correct file locations.
• Program variable frequency drive (VFD) parameters when required.

Required profile

• Electrical or mechanical technician experience with a diploma or trade certificate.
• Experience in product testing and working in a manufacturing environment, including reading work orders and technical documents.
• Strong mathematics skills (Grade 12 equivalent).

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel and Windows Explorer proficiency.
• Use of measurement instrumentation such as flow meters, pressure transducers, and power meters.
• Programming of variable frequency drive (VFD) parameters.
• Familiarity with testing software and computer‑based test procedures.
