Project Planner – Remote/Hybrid (Canada)

About the role

Sandvik Mining is looking for a Project Planner to coordinate complex customer projects across multiple business divisions. The role is based in Canada and offers a remote/hybrid work arrangement, focusing on delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Manage multiple concurrent projects of varying values from planning through closeout.
• Develop, maintain, and communicate detailed project schedules.
• Monitor budgets, costs, risks, issues, and change requests.
• Serve as the primary customer contact for all project communications.
• Coordinate internal resources, vendors, subcontractors, materials, and service personnel.
• Support inventory, procurement, and logistics activities.
• Maintain project documentation and provide regular status reports.
• Collaborate with Parts & Services, Sales, and cross‑functional teams.

Required profile

• Post‑secondary education in Engineering, Project Management, Business or a related field.
• Experience as a Maintenance Planner, Project Planner, Project Coordinator or Project Manager within the mining sector.
• Knowledge of mining equipment and maintenance planning.
• Ability to travel up to 15% within Canada and a valid driver’s licence.
• Bilingualism is an asset.

Required skills

• Strong Microsoft Excel proficiency.
• Expertise in project scheduling using Gantt‑chart tools.
