Project Manager / Specialist – PMO (WaterTech)

About the role

As BluMetric expands its WaterTech business, the company seeks a Project Manager/Specialist to join the Project Management Office. Reporting to senior PMs, the role will oversee end‑to‑end delivery of water and wastewater product development, production and service projects.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of assigned projects, from strategic planning through to closure, applying risk, schedule, budget, change and stakeholder management.
• Coordinate multi‑disciplinary teams across engineering, production, quality and procurement to deliver complex systems.
• Develop and maintain project documentation such as charters, work breakdown structures, schedules, budgets and reports.
• Support proposal development, cost estimation and quoting for the Applications Engineering team.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 quality management system and create contingency plans to mitigate risks.

Required profile

• Post‑secondary education in Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.
• 5–7 years of experience managing technical projects in engineering or production environments, preferably in defence or water/wastewater sectors.
• Eligibility for a Secret (NATO) security clearance and compliance with the Canadian Controlled Goods Program.
• Strong organizational, analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with the ability to set priorities and negotiate for project success.

Required skills

• Project management methodologies and tools (risk, schedule, budget, change, stakeholder management).
• Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) development and schedule analysis.
• Cost estimating, cost control and budget development.
• ISO 9001 quality management compliance.
• Proficiency with MS Office suite (Word, Excel) and project scheduling software.
• Experience using ERP systems for project management.
