Project Manager – Learning & Development (Hybrid, Toronto)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead Learning & Development initiatives for a leading financial institution in Toronto. The role is hybrid, offering a blend of on‑site collaboration and remote work, and is initially a three‑month contract with the possibility of extension or conversion.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse portfolio and program movements to align projects with long‑term business priorities.
• Design and deliver learning solutions across formats such as instructor‑led training, eLearning, webinars, and workshops.
• Lead end‑to‑end planning and execution of medium‑to‑high complexity L&D projects, ensuring delivery on time, within scope and budget.
• Support vendor selection, engagement and onboarding for third‑party learning solutions.
• Develop stakeholder engagement strategies and maintain regular communication with internal and external partners.
• Report project progress to teams and senior stakeholders, and manage risks, issues and governance.
• Conduct retrospectives, capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement.
• Stay current with Agile, hybrid and emerging project management practices.

Required profile

• Post‑secondary degree.
• 7–10 years of project management experience, preferably in L&D or adult training environments.
• Prior experience in performance consulting, instructional design, facilitation or learning technologies is a plus.
• Strong track record of delivering results and operational excellence.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced setting.

Required skills

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Agile methodology and Scrum certification.
• Proficiency with project management tools.
