Project Manager

About the role

CGI is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead construction projects at our Winnipeg office. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, budgets and allocate resources.
• Lead, motivate and manage project teams, including contractors and subcontractors.
• Identify risks, create mitigation plans and monitor their impact.
• Implement quality management processes to meet or exceed standards.
• Communicate regularly with clients, contractors and stakeholders to align expectations.
• Oversee contracts, review proposals and negotiate terms.
• Track project progress, manage critical path activities and report status.
• Control project budgets, forecast costs and identify savings.

Required profile

• 5+ years of construction management experience or equivalent technical training.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate diverse project teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent judgment, decision‑making and problem‑solving abilities.
• Deep understanding of construction principles, practices and regulations.
• Attention to detail to ensure quality and safety compliance.
• Effective time‑management and ability to prioritize competing demands.
• Adaptability to changing project scopes, timelines and requirements.
