Project Manager – Civil & Infrastructure

About the role

As a Project Manager in Pomerleau’s Civil & Infrastructure division, you will lead large‑scale construction and infrastructure projects, often exceeding $200 million. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, engineers, contractors and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with team members, business partners, consultants and clients.
• Lead and mentor engineers, superintendents, technicians and coordinators, providing technical support and guidance.
• Plan, monitor and control construction schedules, budgets, forecasts, procurement and financial variances.
• Oversee invoicing, payment approvals and strategic financial tracking.
• Manage project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Prepare accurate, company‑wide project reports.
• Ensure health, safety and environment (HSE) compliance and adherence to relevant regulations.
• Guarantee regulatory and technical compliance of civil works, structures and specialized construction activities.

Required profile

• University degree in civil engineering, construction or infrastructure (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Minimum 8 years of experience managing major infrastructure or civil works projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction engineering methods, risk analysis, strategic planning and contract management.
• Understanding of technical coordination processes, shop drawings, specifications and RFIs.
• Professional responsibility, sound technical judgment and ability to supervise multidisciplinary teams.
