Project Manager – Automatic Door Systems

About the role

The Project Manager will oversee the full lifecycle of automatic door projects, ensuring resources are used efficiently, client expectations are met, and NABCO quality standards are upheld. This role involves close collaboration with sales, technicians, subcontractors, and clients to deliver profitable installations on time.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a solid understanding of project scope and client expectations.
• Extract and monitor project budgets from sales orders to maintain profitability.
• Collaborate with Sales Representatives on change orders and quote adjustments.
• Maintain consistent communication with client contacts and internal teams.
• Validate plan quantities, order materials, and schedule labour.
• Manage subcontractors and coordinate Automatic Door Technicians.
• Ensure timely delivery of parts, special equipment, and documentation such as insurance certificates.
• Review site drawings, create installation plans, and produce shop drawings using internal software.
• Travel to client sites for measurements and collaborate with general contractors for drawing approvals.
• Send approved shop drawings to the factory and create purchase orders for glass.

Required profile

• 3‑7 years of experience managing complex construction or installation projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Ability to think critically, solve problems, and guide multidisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of the construction industry and automatic pedestrian entrance systems.
• Proficiency with accounting software, specifically SAP.
• Attention to detail and ability to read plans, specifications, and door hardware documentation.
