Project Engineer – LNG Systems (Calgary or Richmond)

About the role

We are looking for a practical, solutions‑focused Project Engineer to join Cryopeak Energy Solutions in Calgary, AB or Richmond, BC. The role will support the design, development and engineering execution of new and existing LNG and other gas systems, ensuring safe and reliable operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver LNG and other gas systems from concept through commissioning.
• Create and review engineering deliverables such as drawings, specifications, calculations and test/commissioning plans.
• Define scope and technical requirements to support procurement of vendors and contractors.
• Coordinate with operations, clients and third parties during planning and execution phases.
• Participate in design reviews and risk assessments including HAZID, HAZOP and LOPA.
• Provide technical troubleshooting support and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Engineering background with experience in LNG or natural‑gas system design (process design/controls).
• Strong understanding of equipment design principles and operating practices.
• Safety‑first mindset with familiarity with LNG handling requirements and PPE.
• Clear communicator who works well with operations, vendors and customers.
• Organized, adaptable and able to manage multiple priorities.
