Project Controller

About the role

WSP is seeking a Project Controller to join the Québec Buildings Team, providing financial and administrative support to Project Managers and ensuring effective coordination across Operations, Finance, Billing, and Accounts Receivable.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate project data, budgets, and revenue information.
• Support the PMO with Oracle project setup, modifications, and baseline resets.
• Identify cost‑revenue variances and coordinate corrective actions.
• Prepare periodic forecasts (EAC, ETC) with Project Managers.
• Participate in change management and ensure financial impacts are reflected.
• Monitor financial performance and produce reports for decision‑making.

Required profile

• Technical diploma, associate or bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Engineering or related field.
• 5‑10 years of experience in project controls, cost control or project financial management, preferably in building, engineering or construction.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail and ability to work autonomously.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Oracle.
• Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) and project controls methodologies.
• Budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and financial reporting expertise.
