Production Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Production Accountant to join our finance team in Montreal. The role supports the financial operations of multiple live‑entertainment and experiential projects across Canada and the United States, working closely with production teams, vendors and corporate finance.

Key responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and receivable, including vendor invoice approval, ticket‑revenue reconciliation and maintenance of vendor tax records.
• Enter and maintain project budgets, generate weekly cost reports and assist with month‑end close activities such as journal entries, bank and intercompany reconciliations.
• Audit employee expense reports for policy compliance and prepare related journal entries.
• Coordinate purchase orders, expense submissions and invoice reviews with production teams and suppliers.
• Prepare ad‑hoc financial analyses, reports and support monthly financial reporting.
• Identify and recommend improvements to accounting processes and efficiencies.
• Develop and sustain strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Occasionally travel for meetings or operational support.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum four years of accounting experience, preferably in project‑based, production, construction or entertainment environments.
• Fluent in English and French, both written and spoken.
• Experience working in a multi‑entity, multi‑currency accounting setting, including intercompany transactions.
