Procurement Specialist – Purchasing & Supplier Management

About the role

We are seeking a Procurement Specialist to manage the acquisition of equipment, materials and services for our operations in St. Thomas. The role involves developing specifications, negotiating with suppliers and ensuring timely delivery while supporting internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and purchase general and specialized equipment, materials and business services.
• Assess requirements, develop detailed specifications and issue purchase orders.
• Negotiate offers, review quotations and determine contract terms and conditions.
• Establish and monitor delivery schedules, resolve issues with suppliers and internal clients.
• Manage contracts, estimate costs and provide mentorship to junior staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance or related field.
• 3‑5 years of procurement or purchasing experience.
• Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Valid driver’s licence and ability to pass a criminal record check.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Experience using SAP modules (FI/CO, HR, MM, OT, SD).
• Working knowledge of MS Windows operating system.
