Procurement Specialist

About the role

The Procurement Specialist supports aircraft maintenance operations by acquiring parts, materials, equipment and services. The role ensures cost‑effective purchasing, on‑time delivery and strict compliance with regulatory and company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Purchase parts, materials, equipment and services from established suppliers and identify new vendors.
• Support supplier selection, initiate new‑supplier approvals and create or revise purchase orders.
• Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, certifications and invoices for accounting.
• Manage supplier parts return processes and uphold strong contractual relationships.
• Identify and implement cost‑reduction opportunities while ensuring timely follow‑up on requests.
• Collaborate with maintenance, stores and finance teams; update product data sheets and support warehouse inventory counts.
• Ensure health and safety compliance by using only approved equipment and materials.

Required profile

• College diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in procurement or purchasing management.
• Canadian citizenship or permanent residency; eligibility for a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC).
• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence.
• Certificate in aeronautical supply chain management (asset) and knowledge of Corridor software (asset) are advantageous.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
• Ability to read and interpret aircraft component certification documents (e.g., 8130‑1, Form 1, Certificate of Conformity).
• Familiarity with the Corridor procurement system.
