Process Technician – Sample Preparation & Brine Monitoring

About the role

We are seeking a Process Technician to operate and monitor our solution‑mining test facility located about 55 km southeast of Regina. The role involves handling brine processing equipment, collecting and analysing samples, and maintaining accurate operational records in line with provincial regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Operate solution‑mining systems, including pumps, valves, filtration units, brine mixers and conveyors, within defined process parameters.
• Monitor and record flow rates, temperatures, pressures and volumes, both manually and via digital HMI interfaces.
• Collect, analyse and log brine samples following approved protocols.
• Assist with off‑loading salt from transport trailers to storage silos, ensuring safety procedures are followed.
• Identify and report leaks, spills or abnormal conditions promptly to the Supervisor.
• Support lockout/tag‑out procedures, perform minor equipment repairs and routine maintenance.
• Maintain housekeeping standards and perform occasional driver duties for sample delivery or supply pickup.

Required profile

• High school diploma (Grade 12) required.
• Class 5 driver’s licence and Safety Construction Orientation Training (SCOT) certification.
• Experience with brine systems, solution mining or industrial process environments is an asset.
• Trades training in millwrighting, pipefitting, instrumentation or electrical work is advantageous.

Required skills

• Proficiency with HMI or production software.
• Mechanical aptitude for recognizing process upsets.
• Ability to monitor and record process data accurately.
• Basic knowledge of millwrighting, pipefitting, instrumentation and electrical systems.
