Process & Applications Engineer

About the role

Join Anaergia’s Integrated Systems team as a Process & Applications Engineer, supporting the sale, design, and development of waste‑to‑energy projects. You will create proposals, engineering documentation, and cost estimates for biogas and organics processing systems.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with business development to prepare proposals and bids for waste‑to‑energy systems.
• Develop detailed cost spreadsheets by soliciting vendor quotes and using internal calculation tools.
• Produce Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), valve, instrumentation, and equipment lists.
• Draft process control narratives, cause‑and‑effect diagrams, and operating/maintenance manuals.
• Travel to manufacturing shops to oversee equipment fabrication and support mechanical assembly.
• Optimize process flows for cost efficiency and manufacturability.
• Participate in factory acceptance testing, conference attendance, and system commissioning across Canada and the United States.
