Probationary/Continuing Teacher for Grades 4-6 (Middle Years)

About the role

The Parkland School Division is seeking a full‑time (1.0 FTE) Probationary/Continuing Teacher to work with middle‑years students in Grades 4‑6 at the Prescott Learning Centre in Spruce Grove, Alberta. The role focuses on delivering inclusive, purposeful learning experiences that support academic, social, emotional, and personal development.

Key responsibilities

• Create, deliver, and assess curriculum that meets the diverse needs of middle‑years learners.
• Facilitate the integration of students into typical classroom settings and support transition processes.
• Design individualized learning opportunities aligned with Alberta’s programs of study.
• Collaborate with school staff, support teams, and community agencies to ensure consistent supervision and monitoring.
• Engage families to address student learning needs and maintain strong classroom routines.

Required profile

• Valid Alberta teaching certification and adherence to Alberta Teachers’ Association Teaching Quality Standards.
• Commitment to inclusive education, diversity, and student well‑being.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and Professional Learning Community.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with students, parents, and community partners.
