Privacy and Compliance Analyst (Remote)

About the role

As a Privacy and Compliance Analyst at BIS Safety Software, you will support the Risk & Compliance function by ensuring that our SaaS platform meets privacy laws and industry standards. You will work with cross‑functional teams to manage projects, assess risks, and implement controls that protect client data and support business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and deliver privacy, security, and compliance initiatives aligned with organizational goals.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate operational, IT, and data‑privacy risks.
• Develop, maintain, and update compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures for regulations such as PIPEDA, COPPA, and GDPR.
• Coordinate third‑party audits (e.g., SOC 2, PCI DSS) and conduct internal assessments.
• Support software security improvements and lead incident‑response activities.
• Handle compliance tickets, provide guidance to internal teams, and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Stay current on privacy regulations and translate them into practical policies.

Required profile

• Proactive attitude with strong stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Detail‑oriented and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience working in a regulated environment, preferably SaaS.

Required skills

• Knowledge of privacy regulations (PIPEDA, COPPA, GDPR).
• Familiarity with audit frameworks (SOC 2, PCI DSS).
• Understanding of incident‑response processes.
