Principal Product Manager, AI Restaurant Experience

About the role

Owner is seeking a Principal Product Manager to own and scale the AI‑native operator experience for restaurants. You will combine daily workflows—orders, guest issues, settings, performance and growth opportunities—into a cohesive product that turns signals into clear recommendations and AI‑assisted actions. The role is hands‑on and forward‑deployed, requiring close interaction with restaurant owners, kitchen staff and frontline support teams.

Key responsibilities

• Shift restaurant software from output‑focused dashboards to outcome‑driven experiences that explain why actions matter and recommend the next best step.
• Own the core operator experience across mobile and desktop, integrating orders, guest issues, operational settings, performance metrics and growth opportunities.
• Build personalized business guidance, surfacing high‑impact opportunities through product, email, SMS and AI‑agent channels.
• Scale unified guest and order management, enabling rapid monitoring, resolution and automation of reviews, support requests and operational exceptions.
• Design trust‑building mechanisms for AI‑assisted execution, including permissions, confirmations, evaluation loops and rollback paths.

Required profile

• 8+ years of product management experience (or equivalent) with a proven record of shipping high‑impact products.
• Forward‑deployed customer obsession: regularly visit restaurants, observe live workflows and engage directly with operators.
• Strong product judgment to simplify complex workflows for busy, non‑technical users.
• Technical depth and ability to partner closely with engineering on systems, data flows, integrations, permissions and reliability.
• Bias toward outcomes over features and ability to link product work to measurable business impact.
