Primary Care Paramedic – Permanent Full‑Time 12‑Hour Car (Vilna)

About the role

Associated Ambulance is hiring three Primary Care Paramedics for its Vilna Station on a permanent full‑time basis. The role follows a 12‑hour car rotation with a 4‑days‑on/4‑days‑off schedule, providing pre‑hospital emergency care to the community.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patients to determine injury or illness severity and immediate care needs.
• Administer emergency medical treatment, stabilize patients, and prepare them for ambulance transport.
• Monitor vital signs, perform blood glucose checks and other diagnostic procedures.
• Perform advanced life support interventions such as intubation and cardiac pacing.
• Collaborate with emergency communications, physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals.

Required profile

• Valid ACP Practice Permit meeting Alberta EMS requirements.
• Alberta Class IV driver’s licence.
• Current F.A.R.E certification.
• Up‑to‑date mandatory training including Medical Communications Protocol (MCP) and Professional Driver Improvement Course (PDIC).
