Primary Care Paramedic – Full‑time & Casual Positions

About the role

Associated Ambulance is seeking Primary Care Paramedics to join its modernized stations across rural Alberta. You will provide pre‑hospital medical care in a supportive team environment, with options for permanent, temporary or casual employment.

Key responsibilities

• Administer pre‑hospital medical care, including oxygen, IV medications, and bandaging.
• Monitor vital signs, measure blood glucose, and perform diagnostic procedures.
• Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and other life‑saving interventions.
• Stabilize injured or ill patients, conduct patient assessments, and coordinate hospital transports.
• Collaborate with emergency medical personnel, physicians, nurses and other health professionals.

Required profile

• Completion of an accredited Primary Care Paramedic program.
• Active registration with the Alberta College of Paramedics (ACoP) as a Primary Care Paramedic.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support – Healthcare Provider (BCLS‑HCP) certification.
• Valid Class 4 Alberta Operator’s licence with a clean driving abstract.
• Successful completion of the Functional Abilities Recruitment Evaluation (F.A.R.E.) test within six months of start date.
