Pressure/Hot Oiler Operator

About the role

Vertex is seeking a safety‑focused Pressure Truck and Hot Oiler Operator for its Lloydminster, AB site. The position involves operating pressure trucks and hot oiler equipment on a rotational schedule, supporting oilfield projects and emergency response.

Key responsibilities

• Operate 5K and 10K pressure trucks and hot oiler equipment safely and professionally.
• Participate in safety programs, toolbox talks, FLRA’s, and hazard assessments.
• Maintain accurate ELD logbooks and ensure all training certifications are current.
• Drive equipment in compliance with traffic rules and company policies.
• Assist with vacuum truck and fluid hauling tasks when required.

Required profile

• Class 1 driver’s license with a clean commercial abstract.
• Minimum 2 years of hot oiler operation and 2 years of pressure‑truck operation.
• At least 2 years of overall oilfield experience.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, evenings, weekends and on‑call rotations.
• Ability to lift heavy tools and work at heights over 6 feet.
