Postdoctoral Researcher – Rehabilitation Sciences

About the role

The School of Physical and Occupational Therapy at McGill University is seeking a post‑doctoral fellow to join a national interdisciplinary research program focused on rehabilitation within Canada’s health and social systems.

Key responsibilities

• Support ethics applications and study implementation.
• Design and administer a national survey on rehabilitation services.
• Coordinate with national partners and stakeholder organisations across Canada.
• Assist in planning and delivering a national symposium.
• Conduct quantitative and qualitative data analyses.
• Prepare manuscripts, reports, knowledge‑mobilisation products and conference presentations.
• Contribute to grant development, including large‑scale national funding applications.
• Perform administrative tasks such as budget monitoring.

Required profile

• PhD in rehabilitation sciences, health services research, implementation science, occupational therapy, physical therapy, nursing or a related health/social science discipline.
• Strong academic record with publications appropriate to career stage.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Experience working collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams.
• Strong organisational and project‑management abilities.
• Ability to work independently while mentoring graduate students and research trainees.
• Proficiency in spoken and written French is an asset.
