About the role
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Retail Counter Clerk who will work in a retail outlet and provide excellent service to all our customers. This temporary position offers a wage of $25.37 per hour and is based in Kelowna, British Columbia.
Key responsibilities
- Perform a variety of sales and customer service activities to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
- Operate a computerized point‑of‑sale system.
- Maintain a high level of knowledge of postal products, services and delivery options.
- Process financial transactions including cash, cheques, debit and credit card payments.
- Receive, sort and sequence mail items.
- Handle mail items weighing up to 22.7 kg (50 lb) requiring physical effort.
- Maintain floor displays.
- Conduct merchandising and inventory control.
Required profile
- Experience in customer service within a retail environment.
- Sales experience is an asset.
