Post Office Assistant (On-Call, Term)

About the role
We are looking for an on‑call Post Office Assistant to join Canada Post in Golden Lake. You will provide friendly, customer‑focused counter services and support the daily flow of mail and parcels.
Key responsibilities
- Sell postal products and services to the public and business customers.
- Sort, distribute and process mail into the appropriate classifications.
- Provide customers with information, forms and assistance with delivery or service issues.
- Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records.
Required profile
- High school diploma or provincial equivalent, with experience in business administration or retail.
- Experience interacting with the public, including sales and cash handling.
- Ability to lift mail containers up to 50 lb, push or pull boxes, sort mail and stand for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work temporary, on‑call shifts and preferably reside in the local community.
