PLC Engineer – Automation & Control Systems

About the role

UCAM is looking for a skilled PLC Engineer to design, program, test, and maintain PLC systems for advanced machines and automated processes. You will work closely with mechanical and electrical teams to ensure seamless integration of control solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement PLC programs using Siemens, Mitsubishi, and Fanuc controllers.
• Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and debugging of PLC code and control hardware.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including mechanical and electrical engineers, to define system requirements.
• Perform electrical commissioning and interface work for new equipment.
• Create and maintain documentation for PLC programs, control schematics, and operational procedures.
• Provide training and develop training materials for service engineers on PLC technologies.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of PLC systems and programming.
• Ability to train and support a technical team.
• Customer‑focused mindset with solid problem‑solving skills.
• Experience in the machine tools industry is a plus.
• Capable of multitasking and handling priorities effectively.
