Physician – In-Clinic Care Centre (Contract)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated physician to join our in‑clinic Care Centre team in Thompson, Manitoba. The role involves delivering occupational health services, injury management, and preventive care within a collaborative, supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct employee health assessments, pre‑employment and periodic medical examinations.
• Diagnose, treat, and manage work‑related injuries and illnesses, including documentation for workers’ compensation.
• Provide medical care for non‑work‑related injuries while employees await primary care access.
• Review and act on medical surveillance program outcomes for occupational hazards.
• Offer health counseling, preventive care, and promote safe workplace behaviours.
• Record all patient encounters accurately and report workplace injuries per client policies and provincial regulations.
• Collaborate with client management and the broader TELUS team to improve health outcomes.

Required profile

• Current registration (or eligibility) as a Physician with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba.
• Advanced physical assessment and critical thinking abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Commitment to delivering the highest standard of patient care and client experience.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
