Physician Business Operations Coordinator

About the role

The Physician Business Operations Coordinator supports physicians at Toronto General Hospital by streamlining onboarding and ensuring consistent application of the new overhead methodology. This permanent, full‑time position works closely with Finance, People & Culture, Digital, Medical Affairs and executive leadership to deliver a smooth, transparent onboarding experience.

Key responsibilities

• Guide physicians through credentialing, account setup, orientation, training and onboarding education.
• Create and maintain SOPs, checklists, FAQs and compliance documents for onboarding and off‑boarding.
• Act as the primary liaison for physicians, coordinating with cross‑functional teams to resolve operational issues.
• Administer physician contracts, including templates, renewals, addendums and secure record‑keeping for audit compliance.
• Support digital ticketing, contract queries and finance‑related inquiries to reduce administrative errors.

Required profile

• Strong organizational and communication skills with a focus on process consistency.
• Experience working in a healthcare or hospital environment, preferably within medical affairs or operations.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and prioritize tasks effectively.
