Pharmacy Assistant

About the role

Join a locally owned pharmacy to support the delivery of health, beauty and convenience services in the community. You will assist the pharmacist with technical dispensing functions, ensure smooth pharmacy operations, and provide friendly, timely service to customers.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers, gather prescription information, and manage cash register transactions.
• Refer clinical questions and counseling needs to the pharmacist.
• Receive, process, and submit new and repeat prescriptions following standard operating procedures.
• Handle third‑party billing, online claims, and manual accounts.
• Answer phones, manage incoming faxes, and coordinate callbacks for the pharmacist.
• Assist in prescription preparation, data entry, refill processing, and accurate labeling.
• Maintain confidentiality and privacy standards at all times.

Required profile

• High school diploma; pharmacy assistant certification preferred.
• Minimum two years of pharmacy experience, preferably with Healthwatch.
• Strong organizational ability and multitasking skills.
• Problem‑solving mindset and keen attention to detail.
