Pharmacy Assistant – Full‑time

About the role

Join a locally owned Shoppers Drug Mart store in Toronto and provide essential pharmacy support to the community. You will assist with prescription dispensing, customer service and the day‑to‑day operations of the pharmacy while ensuring a pleasant experience for every client.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers, collect prescription details and manage the dispensary cash register.
• Receive, enter and prepare new and repeat prescriptions, including counting, measuring, packaging and labeling.
• Handle third‑party billing, online payments and manage incoming faxes in line with pharmacy standards.
• Answer telephone calls, refer clinical questions to the pharmacist and coordinate callbacks.
• Maintain confidentiality, file documentation accurately and support the pharmacist in counseling customers.

Required profile

• High School Diploma; a pharmacy assistant certificate is preferred.
• Previous experience in a pharmacy or retail environment is an asset.
• Strong organizational ability, multitasking skills and keen attention to detail.
• Problem‑solving mindset and ability to follow standard operating procedures.
