About the role

Join the Varsity Tutors Live Learning Platform as an online Pharmacology Tutor, helping nursing, pharmacy and medical students master complex drug concepts. Work from the comfort of your home with complete control over your schedule and earnings.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑on‑one online tutoring sessions in pharmacology for healthcare students.
• Explain complex concepts such as pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, drug mechanisms, dosage calculations and drug interactions.
• Prepare students for licensure exams (NCLEX, pharmacy boards, medical boards) using case studies and practice questions.
• Utilize the Varsity Tutors Live Learning Platform and AI‑powered Tutor Copilot to deliver interactive lessons and generate real‑time instructional support.
• Invoice for completed sessions and manage your own schedule.

Required profile

• Advanced mastery of pharmacology topics including drug classification, cardiovascular drugs, antimicrobials, endocrine agents, CNS drugs, chemotherapy agents and more.
• Ability to break down mechanisms of action, absorption‑distribution‑metabolism‑excretion pathways and therapeutic indices for students.
• Familiarity with curricula for nursing, pharmacy and medical programs and with exam formats such as NCLEX and board‑style questions.
• Strong communication skills and an engaging, student‑centered teaching style.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics.
• Expertise in drug classification and interaction analysis.
• Proficiency in dosage calculation and clinical case discussion.
