About the role

CareRx is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to join its Parksville team, supporting long‑term care and retirement communities. Reporting to the Designated Pharmacy Manager, you will ensure prescriptions are dispensed accurately, safely, and in a therapeutically appropriate manner.

Key responsibilities

• Dispense and verify medication orders, ensuring safety and appropriateness.
• Conduct medication regimen reviews and document recommendations.
• Respond promptly to palliative care prescriptions and critical medication needs.
• Coordinate drug deliveries with the delivery team.
• Collaborate with pharmacy staff and management to resolve workflow issues.
• Provide exceptional customer care to patients and home‑care partners.
• Communicate professionally with resident care teams while adhering to corporate policies.

Required profile

• Licensed pharmacist eligible to practice in Canada.
• Experience in long‑term care, specialty, or similar pharmacy settings preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
