Pharmacist – Senior Care Pharmacy Services

About the role

CareRx is seeking a dedicated Pharmacist to join its Lower Mainland team, providing pharmacy services to long‑term care, retirement and congregate living communities. The Staff Pharmacist works under the Designated Pharmacy Manager to ensure safe, accurate dispensing and high‑quality patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the pharmacy team to dispense medication orders accurately, safely, and timely.
• Verify safe and appropriate medication administration, including critical and palliative care prescriptions.
• Arrange drug deliveries with the delivery team and respond rapidly to urgent medication needs.
• Complete daily tasks in line with workplace policies and procedures.
• Consult with pharmacy management on unresolved issues.
• Provide exceptional customer care to pharmacy patients and home partners.
• Communicate professionally with resident care teams, maintaining high standards of service.
• Conduct medication regimen/profile reviews and document recommendations.
• Follow all provincial and federal regulations governing pharmacy practice.

Required profile

• Licensed pharmacist working under the direction of a Designated Pharmacy Manager.
• Commitment to therapeutic appropriateness and patient safety.
• Ability to handle a variety of pharmacy scenarios in senior‑care settings.
