Pharmacist

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Pharmacist to join an established retail pharmacy group operating seven high‑volume community pharmacies in Bermuda. The role involves delivering safe, patient‑focused pharmaceutical services while ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately dispense prescription medications, performing clinical verification for therapeutic appropriateness, drug interactions, contraindications and prescribing irregularities.
• Provide evidence‑based counseling to patients on prescription and over‑the‑counter medicines, including dosage, administration, side effects and lifestyle considerations.
• Build strong relationships with customers, healthcare professionals and colleagues to deliver patient‑centered care.
• Manage dispensary inventory: ordering, stock rotation, expiry monitoring and adherence to inventory control procedures.
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy legislation, professional standards and best practice guidelines.
• Participate in continuing professional development and maintain licensure with the relevant Pharmacy Council.
• Contribute to workflow optimisation, quality assurance initiatives and safe dispensing practices.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned by the Chief Pharmacist.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (or equivalent) and eligibility for registration with the relevant Pharmacy Council.
• Minimum two years of experience in a retail or community pharmacy setting.
• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities with a strong commitment to customer and patient service.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a detail‑oriented professional approach.
• Strong organisational abilities and capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively.
