Pharmacist

About the role

Mint Health + Drugs is seeking a dedicated Pharmacist to join its Cordova Bay location. You will play a key part in delivering exceptional patient care, supporting operational excellence, and upholding the Mint experience of thoughtful service and collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Patient Care & Counseling: Assess health, manage medication therapy for chronic and acute conditions, and educate patients on medication use.
• Clinical Services: Administer vaccinations, adapt prescriptions, and manage drug therapy to prevent and treat health disorders.
• Dispensing & Compounding: Prepare, package, and distribute medications with accuracy in dosage, labeling, and storage.
• Collaboration: Work within multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care and transition plans.
• Drug Information: Serve as a resource for patients and health professionals on medication-related queries.

Required profile

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD).
• Licensure: Active or eligible registration with the provincial pharmacy regulatory body.
• Experience: Prior experience in a hospital setting or direct patient care is preferred.
• Screening: Successful Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Search.
• Skills: Strong clinical assessment, effective verbal and written communication, and ability to work independently or within a team.
• Technology: Experience using electronic health records (e.g., Kroll) and medication order entry systems.
