Pharmacist

About the role

The Pharmacist will join Brant Community Healthcare System, a two‑site community hospital network in Brantford and Paris, Ontario. The role supports both acute and urgent‑care settings by ensuring safe medication use, dispensing, and clinical pharmacy services.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately dispense prescription and non‑prescription medications to patients.
• Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stock control.
• Provide drug information and clinical support to physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals.
• Participate in medication safety initiatives and adverse drug reaction reporting.
• Assist with transitional care services and patient education on medication use.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize therapeutic outcomes.

Required profile

• Registered Pharmacist with a valid Ontario license.
• Strong knowledge of hospital pharmacy practice and medication safety.
• Excellent communication skills and a patient‑first mindset.
• Ability to work effectively within a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment.
