Pharmacist – Dispensary (Contract)

About the role

CareRx is seeking a Contract Pharmacist to join its Edmonton team, providing pharmacy services to long‑term care, retirement and congregate living communities. Working under the Designated Pharmacy Manager, you will ensure prescriptions are dispensed accurately, safely, and with the highest therapeutic appropriateness.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the pharmacy team to dispense medication orders accurately, safely, and timely.
• Verify safe and appropriate medication administration and assess critical medications.
• Rapidly respond to palliative care prescriptions and coordinate drug deliveries.
• Conduct medication regimen/profile reviews and document recommendations.
• Maintain compliance with provincial and federal pharmacy laws and corporate policies.
• Provide exceptional customer care to patients, home partners, and resident care teams.

Required profile

• Licensed Pharmacist in Canada, preferably with experience in long‑term care or dispensary settings.
• Ability to work independently under the direction of the Pharmacy Manager.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
• Capacity to handle urgent and complex medication scenarios.
