Pharmacist – Community Pharmacy

About the role

Join a locally owned pharmacy to provide health, beauty and convenience services to your community. You will be responsible for managing daily pharmacy operations, delivering professional consultations, and ensuring safe dispensing of medications.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and assist all customers entering the pharmacy, providing accurate counseling on prescriptions and over‑the‑counter products.
• Dispense medications in compliance with federal and provincial regulations, maintaining patient confidentiality and consent management.
• Communicate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and maintain comprehensive records.
• Control access to the dispensary, monitor workflow queues, and manage “will call” bins daily.
• Review stock levels, identify expired inventory, and place medication orders with wholesalers.
• Ensure compliance with the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and report to Health Canada as required.
• Maintain a clean, professional pharmacy environment and handle incident reporting for medication or privacy issues.

Required profile

• Experience planning, coordinating, and coaching pharmacy staff.
• Proven capability to drive business performance and support enterprise initiatives.
• Strong commitment to exceptional customer service and professionalism.
• Ability to follow health and safety procedures and complete mandatory training.
