Pharmacist – Community Pharmacy

About the role

Join a locally owned pharmacy to provide health, beauty and convenience services to your community. As the on‑duty pharmacist you will manage daily operations, dispense medication, and offer professional consultation to customers and health‑care providers.

Key responsibilities

• Acknowledge and assist every customer entering the pharmacy.
• Dispense prescriptions accurately while ensuring privacy and consent requirements are met.
• Provide counselling on prescription, over‑the‑counter and behind‑the‑counter products.
• Practice to the full scope of expanded pharmacy services within your capability.
• Maintain all required records in accordance with legislation and standards of practice.
• Control access to the dispensary, manage inventory, and review stock for expirations.
• Ensure compliance with the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and report to Health Canada as required.
• Maintain a professional pharmacy environment and handle incident reports when needed.

Required profile

• Independent decision‑making and problem‑solving abilities.
• Experience planning, coordinating and coaching pharmacy staff.
• Proven ability to drive business performance and support enterprise programs.
• Commitment to exceptional customer service and professional conduct.
• Strong knowledge of federal/provincial pharmacy regulations.
