Pharmacist – Community Pharmacy

About the role

We are seeking a licensed Pharmacist to manage daily pharmacy operations in a locally owned store, delivering health, beauty and convenience services to the community while keeping the customer at the centre of everything you do.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all pharmacy operations while on duty, including dispensing medication and maintaining the dispensary.
• Provide consultation and counselling to customers and health‑care providers on prescriptions, over‑the‑counter and behind‑the‑counter products.
• Ensure compliance with federal, provincial and regulatory requirements, including privacy, confidentiality and consent management.
• Communicate with other health‑care professionals within the circle of care to coordinate customer treatment.
• Maintain accurate records in accordance with legislation, standards of practice and company policy.
• Control access to the dispensary, review workflow queues daily, and manage ‘will call’ bins.
• Monitor stock levels, identify expired inventory, and place medication orders with wholesalers.
• Handle documentation and reporting for controlled substances under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
• Uphold health and safety procedures, report incidents, and support a safe work environment.
• Assist with financial reporting, store communications and maintaining a professional pharmacy image.
