Pharmacist – Central Fill Pharmacy (Stratford, PEI)

About the role

Murphy’s Pharmacies is expanding its Central Fill pharmacy in Stratford, PEI and seeks a licensed pharmacist to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient prescription preparation in a high‑volume, technology‑enabled environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform clinical review and verification of prescriptions transmitted from community pharmacy partners.
• Assess therapy appropriateness, potential interactions, allergies, and dosing accuracy.
• Resolve clinical issues by collaborating with prescribers and community pharmacy teams.
• Oversee automated dispensing, packaging, and labeling processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
• Provide guidance to pharmacy technicians and support staff working within automated workflows.
• Maintain compliance with provincial and federal pharmacy regulations, accreditation standards, and internal policies.

Required profile

• Licensed Pharmacist in good standing with the PEI College of Pharmacists.
• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD.
• Prior experience in community, central fill, or hospital pharmacy (asset).

Required skills

• Strong understanding of dispensing systems, automation, and pharmacy information systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
