Personal Support Worker (PSW) – Tagalog Speaking

About the role

The Personal Support Worker (PSW) provides high‑quality personal care and support to clients in their homes, reporting to the Client Services Coordinator. This casual, part‑time position offers flexible scheduling across mornings, days, evenings, overnights and weekends to meet client needs.

Key responsibilities

• Provide personal care such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and mobility assistance.
• Assist with activities of daily living, prepare meals and give medication reminders.
• Perform light housekeeping, laundry and support clients with errands and community outings.
• Offer companionship, emotional support and respite care for families.
• Maintain accurate electronic charting and documentation, and report any changes in client health or environment.
• Promote a safe, respectful and inclusive care environment and communicate effectively with clients, families and the healthcare team.

Required profile

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; Tagalog proficiency required.
• Personal Support Worker certificate from a recognized Ontario program (NACC certification required).
• Valid CPR and First Aid certification, recent negative TB test or chest X‑ray, and a current Vulnerable Sector Check.
• Reliable transportation and access to a mobile phone with internet.
• Proof of required immunizations (COVID‑19, MMR, Tdap, Polio, Varicella, Hepatitis B).
