About the role
The Personal Support Worker provides compassionate in‑home care to elderly clients and persons with physical disabilities. You will assist with daily living activities, ensure a safe environment, and promote independence.
Key responsibilities
- Administer bedside and personal care, including hygiene assistance.
- Provide medication administration as required.
- Assist clients with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support regular exercise such as walking.
- Feed or assist with feeding and prepare nutritious meals.
- Mend clothing and linens, and perform light housekeeping.
- Offer companionship and emotional support.
- Maintain a clean and safe home environment.
Required profile
- Secondary school graduation certificate.
- CPR Certificate.
- Health Care Aide Certificate.
- Ability to work in physically demanding conditions.
- Fluency in English; Panjabi/Punjabi considered an asset.
- Experience in home care is an asset.
