Permanent Family Doctor at Healthy Hub (Squamish)

About the role

Healthy Hub is seeking a part‑time (0.6 FTE) Permanent Family Doctor to provide primary care services to the Indigenous community in Squamish, Canada. The position is a long‑term opportunity (May 2026 – May 2030) within a new modular clinic that will serve as the first on‑reserve primary care facility in the Squamish Valley.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive family medicine, including preventive care, chronic disease management and acute illness treatment.
• Conduct scheduled home visits as needed.
• Collaborate daily with a Nurse Practitioner, primary‑care nurses, traditional healers, elders and public‑health staff.
• Maintain accurate patient records through the FPSC portal and ensure longitudinal continuity of care.
• Participate in counselling referrals, substance‑use and palliative‑care services when required.

Required profile

• Medical degree and active licence to practice family medicine in British Columbia.
• Experience in rural or Indigenous health settings is preferred.
• Commitment to trauma‑informed, relational care and interdisciplinary teamwork.
• Willingness to work part‑time (0.6 FTE) on a long‑term contract.

Required skills

• Clinical assessment, diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Prescribing and medication management.
• Use of electronic medical record systems.
