About the role
Sunup Medical Center is seeking a dedicated pediatrician to join its private clinic in Edmonton. This full-time, permanent position involves providing comprehensive medical care to children and adolescents in a supportive, community-focused environment.
Key responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of pediatric diseases and physiological disorders.
- Prescribe medications, develop treatment plans, and refer patients for surgical procedures when necessary.
- Order and interpret laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures.
- Conduct clinical studies on disease causes, progression, and structural changes.
- Serve as a consultant to other physicians and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
Required profile
- Medical degree (MD, DDS, DVM, or OD) with licensure by Alberta health authorities.
- Specialization or training in clinical medicine, preferably in pediatrics or neurology.
- 2–3 years of post-graduate clinical experience in a private practice or clinic setting.
- Availability to work mornings, evenings, days, and weekends as required.
