Payroll Tax Analyst

About the role

Dayforce is looking for a Payroll Tax Analyst to join its Managed Services team. You will be the primary point of contact for client tax inquiries, ensuring accurate payroll tax submissions and supporting year‑end balancing activities across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the main customer contact for Managed Tax inquiries and coordinate timely resolutions with internal teams.
• Research and interpret federal, state, and local tax laws to support payroll and tax compliance.
• Assess tax law changes, communicate impacts to clients and internal partners, and maintain quarterly documentation.
• Execute special payroll tax transactions, including multi‑state wage and tax reallocations.
• Coordinate employee‑level year‑end tax activities, manage W‑2C submissions, and provide amendment recaps.
• Balance quarter‑end payroll tax activity, resolve discrepancies, and prepare amendment requests.
• Support new client implementations through User Acceptance Testing and ensure tax compliance readiness.

Required profile

• 3+ years of payroll tax, payroll administration, or HR/payroll experience (5+ years preferred).
• Experience in high‑volume, multi‑state payroll environments.
• Proven ability to perform wage and tax balancing and handle federal, state, and local tax regulations.
