Part‑Time Registered Nurse (RN)

About the role

The organization is seeking a part‑time Registered Nurse (RN) to supervise daily nursing activities within a long‑term care facility. The RN will ensure that all care delivery complies with current federal, state and local regulations and maintains the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise day‑to‑day nursing operations in accordance with applicable standards and directives from the Director of Nursing (DON) or Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON).
• Assist the Director of Nursing Services in directing nursing functions, developing and updating policies, procedures, and the Nursing Service Procedures Manual.
• Maintain current reference materials (e.g., PDRs, regulations, professional standards) at nursing stations.
• Ensure all nursing personnel adhere to job descriptions and procedural manuals.
• Prepare written and oral reports for the Director regarding nursing department operations.
• Participate in quality‑assurance programs, facility inspections, and government surveys.
• Review and update resident discharge plans and coordinate nursing services with other resident services.
• Lead meetings with nursing and support staff to plan departmental services, programs, and activities.

Required profile

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
• Knowledge of federal, state and local regulations governing long‑term care facilities.
• Ability to develop, maintain and revise nursing policies and procedures.
• Experience supervising nursing staff and ensuring compliance with job descriptions.
• Capability to prepare reports and participate in quality‑assurance and inspection activities.
