Part-Time Math Teacher/Tutor (Grades 7-11)

About the role

We are looking for a part‑time Math Teacher/Tutor to work with elementary and high‑school students (Grades 7‑11) at our Montreal learning centre. The role involves delivering pre‑planned lessons in the evenings and on Saturdays, helping students build confidence and improve their mathematical skills.

Key responsibilities

• Teach up to three students simultaneously, adapting to different grade levels.
• Deliver lessons in‑person (and occasional online sessions) following Oxford Learning’s methodology.
• Complete post‑lesson notes and daily communication updates for each student.
• Maintain a friendly, professional attitude and provide positive reinforcement.

Required profile

• CEGEP, Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field; teaching certification is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of the Grades 7‑11 math curriculum, including advanced functions, algebra, trigonometry, calculus and vectors.
• Some experience tutoring or teaching mathematics at the secondary level.
• Excellent written and oral English communication.
• Ability to work evenings (4 pm‑8 pm, Mon‑Thu) and Saturdays (9 am‑1 pm) through June, with summer availability preferred.
