Part-Time Food Services Worker

About the role

The Food Services Worker provides daily opening duties and efficient service at The Savoir Fare on Algonquin College’s Woodroffe campus. The role includes handling cash, serving food, maintaining a clean environment and following safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform opening duties and prepare the service area for each shift.
• Handle cash transactions, manage float, and ensure accurate daily deposits.
• Maintain cleanliness of counters, fridges, tray carts, and food showcases.
• Restock cups, lids, coffee machines, soup area and beverage refrigerators throughout the shift.
• Keep product displays stocked with pastries, cookies and other items.
• Assist in training student employees and support end‑of‑month inventory counts.
• Follow the Food Services Operation checklist for sanitation and safety.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one year experience in a commercial food‑service environment, with focus on merchandising, sales and cash handling.
• Ability to work a 24‑hour weekly schedule and start on September 1, 2026.
